RISD: Their strength - interiors and industrial design - was really evident in this house, although the exterior was lacking.
Custom light fixtures; perforted metal screens at vertical slit windows.
Unlike most of the other houses, the RISD house gave the taller space to the bedroom while keeping the ceiling in the main living room low.
This is a sample of the phase-change gel pack that is located above the ceiling in the bedroom.
In the bedroom: radiant cooling in the ceiling, fed by the pipes at right, to the gel packs hidden above the ceiling panels.
