Canada: This was a joint effort between Concordia University and Universite de Montreal. It was interesting to see an entry by a team located in a very cold climate.
The PV panels are integrated into the roof, and the heated air beneath the panels is recaptured and used in the house.
The bricks shown here (under glass) are soaked in a phase-change liquid for energy storage under the floor.
